Goodyear has debuted its latest all-season tire designed specifically for electric vehicles – the ElectricDrive 2. This next-generation EV tire boasts several key features to meet the needs of EV drivers.
The ElectricDrive 2 contains at least 50% sustainable materials, including soybean oil, rice husk ash silica, and sustainably sourced natural rubber.
This focus on sustainability helps reduce the environmental impact of tire production and also contributes to improved rolling resistance, potentially increasing EV efficiency.
In addition to its eco-friendly composition, the ElectricDrive 2 is engineered for a quiet and confident driving experience. It features SoundComfort Technology foam inserts that help reduce interior vehicle noise, addressing EV owners’ top priority for tire performance. The tire’s asymmetric tread pattern also provides enhanced grip and responsiveness on wet and dry roads.
