In a move to further enhance its popular electric SUV, Tesla has launched several updates to the Model Y lineup in the United States. The most notable change is the introduction of a new Quicksilver paint color, previously exclusive to the Model Y produced at Tesla’s Giga Berlin factory in Germany.
The Quicksilver color is now available as a $2,000 option for inventory Long Range and Performance Model Y vehicles in the US market. This marks the first time the Quicksilver hue has been offered for the Model Y in North America.
Alongside the new Quicksilver color, Tesla has also added two other new paint options for the US Model Y – Stealth Grey and Ultra Red. These colors were previously only available for the Model S and Model X, replacing the Midnight Silver Metallic and Multi-Coat Red options.
In addition to the expanded color palette, Tesla has also made performance upgrades to the Model Y. The electric SUV now boasts a top speed of 155 mph and an impressive range of up to 279 miles on a single charge.
The pricing for the updated Model Y lineup is as follows:
- Performance trim: $53,490
- Long Range trim: $48,990
- Standard Range trim: $45,990 (after federal tax credit)
The Tesla Model Y’s performance capabilities have also been enhanced, with the vehicle able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 3.5 seconds.
These updates to the Model Y lineup provide US customers with more options and improved performance, further solidifying the electric SUV’s position as a top choice in the growing EV market.
