Design:

The Yuan Up, a compact SUV designed for the A0 segment, boasts traditional SUV design elements with a boxier look, slim LED headlights, vertical air intakes, a slim, closed-off grille, and dark plastic cladding on wheel arches and bumpers, and features BYD’s signature dragon-faced aesthetic language, a large panoramic sunroof, and foldable rear seats for increased trunk space.

Interior:

The Yuan Up’s interior boasts a large, free-standing infotainment touchscreen, a recessed digital instrument cluster, stitched grab handles, a wireless charging pad, and a unique crystal-look shifter, along with an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, 12.8-inch floating touch screen, and physical buttons on the center console for easy driver operation.

Powertrain Options:

The Yuan Up comes with two powertrain options, including a single front-mounted electric motor producing 130kW and a choice of a 32kWh or 45.1kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing ranges of 301km or 401km respectively, as well as CTB body battery integration technology and two endurance versions with CLTC pure electric endurance of 301km and 401km.

Dimensions:

The Yuan Up measures 4,310mm long, 1,830mm wide, and 1,675mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,620mm, making it slightly larger than its Dolphin sibling on the same platform.

  • Smartphone connectivity (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto)
  • A variety of driver-assistance features (depending on trim level) like lane departure warning and automatic emergency braking.
  • Comfortable seating for five passengers.

  • Chevrolet Bolt EV: An American electric SUV with a loyal following, offering a range of 259 miles and possibly priced competitively with the Yuan Up.

Limited Initial Release Color:

It’s possible that BYD is offering the Yuan Up in just light green for the initial launch to create a distinct visual identity and generate buzz. More color options might be introduced later.

The vehicle is now available in offline stores, and interested customers can visit nearby 4S stores to experience it firsthand. With its impressive features, stylish design, and affordable price, the BYD Yuan UP is expected to be a popular choice among electric SUV buyers.
