China is Racing to Install More Ultrafast Electric Vehicle Charging Piles

China, the world’s largest electric vehicle (EV) market, is making significant strides in installing more ultrafast electric vehicle charging piles to support its rapidly growing EV industry. According to recent reports, a 100% liquid cooled supercharging station has begun operating in Guang Joo, marking a major milestone in the development of China’s EV charging infrastructure.

100% Liquid Cooled Supercharging Station in Guang Joo

The new liquid cooled supercharging station in Guang Joo is home to lightning-fast chargers that deliver a stronger current, reducing charging times for EV drivers by at least half. With normal quick chargers taking between 40 minutes to over an hour to fully charge a battery, the new liquid cooled supercharging system can charge a battery to 50% in just 10 minutes. This means that drivers no longer have to be anxious about the range of their EVs.

Liquid Cooling Supercharging Systems: A Potential GameChanger

Liquid cooling supercharging systems are emerging as a potential game-changer in the industry, helping to reduce a major hurdle: long charging times. The development of these systems is expected to revolutionize the EV charging experience, making it faster and more convenient for drivers.

2020-2023: The First Year of Supercharging

According to industry experts, 2020-2023 was the first year of supercharging, with leading companies in full swing to build charging piles. The first echelon of companies has already formed a scale advantage, and the next 5 to 7 years will be a period of rapid development for supercharging, and even a period of explosive growth.

Official Data Shows China has Installed About 2.6 Million Public Charging Piles

As of last November, official data shows that China has installed approximately 2.6 million public charging piles. According to a report published last month by Introspective Market Research, the market size of the global liquid cooled charging station industry will top $1.8 million US by 2030.
