CASE Construction Equipment Delivers First Electric Construction Machinery Roadshow in the UK

During a two-day event in Derbyshire, central England, CNH Industrial (for its CASE Construction Equipment brand) showcased a full lineup of electric construction machinery. The event allowed local equipment operators and other stakeholders to trial the battery-electric machines, which included two all-electric mini excavators and a prototype electric compact wheel loader. CASE recognized for delivering first sustainable UK roadshow

CASE Construction Equipment, a brand of CNH Industrial, held a two-day sustainable product roadshow event in Derbyshire, UK in September 2023. This was the final leg of CASE’s 2023 European Roadshow, following events in Germany, Italy, and France.

For this UK event, CASE committed to achieving a sustainable event, as a pilot project for its ISO 20121 certification. ISO 20121 is an international standard that rewards sustainable event organization. CASE analyzed and acted upon all environmental, social, and economic aspects of the event to minimize their impact, including:

  • Land conservancy
  • Waste management
  • Containment of emissions
  • Sustainable procurement
  • Improving social and economic impact on local communities

The event featured a full lineup of CASE’s electric construction equipment, including two all-electric mini excavators and a prototype electric compact wheel loader. Customers were able to trial these zero-emission machines.CNH Industrial, CASE’s parent company, stated that increasing productivity for customers in a sustainable way is a key priority. They are investing in alternative propulsion, fuel efficiency, and other innovative technologies to achieve this. After the event, the site was restored to its original condition.CASE’s achievements in organizing a sustainable roadshow were independently recognized with the prestigious ISO 20121 certification, which was first applied at the 2012 London Olympics.

The CASE roadshow in the UK showcased a variety of electric construction equipment, such as compact and large electric excavators, electric wheel loaders, and a cabless track loader. CNH Industrial’s UK staff were on-site to demonstrate the electric vehicles and were photographed with the sustainability certificate. Additionally, CNH Industrial owns other regionally focused agricultural equipment brands like STEYR, Raven, Flexi-Coil, and Kongskilde. The merger between CNH Industrial and Fiat Industrial occurred in 2013.
