Ravindra Energy’s Associate EIM Partners With HPCL to Build Heavy EV Battery Swapping Network

Ravindra Energy Limited (REL) has announced that its associate company, Energy Infrastructure Management (EIM), has entered into a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to develop battery swapping infrastructure for heavy electric vehicles (EVs) across India.

The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of electric trucks, buses, and other heavy commercial vehicles by establishing dedicated battery swapping facilities at key transport corridors and logistics hubs. The initiative is expected to reduce charging downtime, improve fleet efficiency, and support India’s transition to cleaner commercial transportation.

Partnership to Strengthen Heavy EV Infrastructure

Under the agreement, EIM and HPCL will work together to deploy battery swapping stations that allow heavy electric vehicles to replace depleted batteries with fully charged ones in just a few minutes. This approach eliminates long charging waits, enabling commercial fleets to maximize vehicle uptime.

HPCL’s extensive network of fuel stations and strategic highway locations will provide ideal sites for deploying battery swapping facilities, while EIM will contribute its expertise in battery technology and energy infrastructure.
