Account & Identity Data

• Full name, email address, mobile number — required for account creation
• Date of birth (optional — used to personalise experience)
• PAN — only for EV loan applications, encrypted, never stored in plain text

Vehicle & Transaction Data

• EV details you list for sale (make, model, year, condition, price, photos)
• Vehicles you have enquired about, wishlisted or compared
• Order history from our accessories shop
• Loan application details including income, employment and bank information

Location & Device Data

• City and state (provided by you during registration or listing)
• Approximate location only if you grant browser permission
• Device type, browser, operating system and IP address (standard server logs)

We use the data we collect strictly to operate and improve eVehicle. We do not use your data for any purpose not listed here without your explicit prior consent.

Service Delivery

• Create and manage your account and profile
• Display, manage and promote your EV listings
• Process orders and arrange delivery of accessories
• Match you with suitable EV loan products and lenders

Communications

• Send transactional messages — order confirmations, OTPs, delivery updates
• Notify you about enquiries on your EV listing
• Send EV loan status updates
• Send marketing emails/SMS only if you have explicitly opted in

We share your data only in the specific circumstances below. All third parties are contractually bound to use it only for the agreed purpose.

EV Lending Partners

If you apply for an EV loan, we share your application data with relevant bank/NBFC partners to process your application. This data is shared only with your explicit consent during the application process.

Logistics & Fulfilment Partners

For shop orders, we share your name, delivery address and phone number with our delivery partners solely to fulfil your order.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your data if required by law, regulation, court order, or government request.

Where We Store Data

All user data is stored on secure servers in India. No personal data is transferred outside India without your explicit consent.

Security Measures

• 256-bit AES encryption for all data at rest
• TLS 1.3 for all data in transit (HTTPS enforced)
• PAN numbers are encrypted — never stored in plain text
• Payment data processed via Razorpay — we never touch card numbers or CVVs
• Two-factor authentication available for all accounts

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA) and applicable Indian law, you have the following rights:

eVehicle is intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has registered, we will promptly delete the account and all associated data.

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites, EV manufacturer sites, dealer portals, and bank websites. These are governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external website.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. All changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of eVehicle after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
