SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) has lowered the price of the Wuling Bingo by 10% for the Chinese New Year festivities, which ends on March 31. The reduction varies between 5,000-8,000 yuan (700-1,125 USD) depending on the trim level.
The price drop applies to four Wuling Bingo trim levels: Enjoy 333km, Enjoy+ 333km, Lingxi Internet+ 333km, and Lingxi Exclusive 410km. The entry-level variants with a 203 km range remain unchanged at 59,800 yuan (8,400 USD) and 65,800 yuan (9,240 USD).
In addition to the price cut, customers ordering the Bingo during this period will receive a free 3.5 kW charging pile, a lifetime warranty for the first owner, and a financial interest discount.
The Wuling Bingo is a small four-door electric hatchback measuring 3950/1708/1580 mm, longer and taller than the upcoming BYD Seagull. It has a 30 kW powertrain with three variants: 30 kW/17.3 kWh LFP battery/203 km range, 50 kW/31.9 kWh LFP battery/333 km range, and 50 kW/37.9 kWh LFP battery/410 km range.
SGMW introduced the Wuling Bingo in March 2023, and it gained popularity, selling over 20,000 units monthly. However, it still trails behind the BYD Seagull, which sells about 40,000 cars each month.
This year, Wuling plans to launch an SUV variant, the Bingo Plus, with a distinctive style, dimensions of 4090/1720/1575 mm, a wheelbase of 2610 mm, and a 75-kW e-motor with a 50.6-kWh battery pack.
