The Renault 5 BEV has received an impressive 50,000 orders, indicating strong interest in this electric vehicle. The Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, priced from 25,000 Euros, is set to launch based on the AmpR Small platform and will initially be available with a 52kWh battery offering a range of up to 249 miles.
The model will feature various equipment variants like the ‘Techno’ and ‘Iconic Five,’ with plans for additional variants such as the ‘Roland Garros Collection’ in the future. Renault aims to make the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric suitable for everyday use, targeting both those who remember the original Renault 5 and younger generations transitioning to electric and digital mobility.
The car is designed to be agile and fit for city driving, with performance ranging from an entry-level 94bhp motor to more powerful options like 121bhp and 148bhp motors capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in under eight seconds.
The Renault 5 BEV is expected to be available for purchase in the UK from early 2025, approximately a year after its reveal at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show
